Beschreibung:
Singer and songwriter Roi Robertson from London is Mechanical Cabaret. With his appealing mixture of EBM and Industrial influences, reminiscences of Depeche Mode and Soft Cell, outspoken lyrics and self-confident performances, Mechanical Cabaret has already attracted a faithful discipleship over the past years, e.g. as a support act for Mesh. At the end of 2007, the EP “Disbehave” was Roi’s first release at Major Records. Now for the first time, the label from Hamburg releases a longplayer by Mechanical Cabaret: “Damaged Goods” is the title of the eagerly awaited album, which Roi has been working on for over a year. The result will please not only the fans: Mechanical Cabaret has brought his aggressive, energetic sound to perfection. The digital single release “GBH” already shows that Mechanical Cabaret kicks off without compromise. Mechanical Cabaret wraps abysmal emotion in dark and brilliant synth sounds. In his songs, Roi Robertson seems to be revealing a lot about himself, as song titles such as “My Sex Life” or “Pretty Fucked Up” suggest. The album title “Damaged Goods” also implies: Mechanical Cabaret does not build up a perfect world, but uncovers the “damaged” side relentlessly. Tracklisting: - Careful, Careless
